A Guide to the Image CDs offered through this website:
1. The image CDs offered through this website contain a program called Portfolio Browser (Portbrws.exe) used to view thumbnails of
the files contained in the disk and others. The program is self-loading, unless this feature is turned off on your computer. If the
program does not automatically load, click on the Start icon, then the Run icon. At this point, click on the Browse icon, locate the
drive that the disk is located on, click on the file Portbrws and open and run it.

2. Once the software is loaded, if it does not automatically load the catalog, click on File, then Open, then IDYLLIC IMPRESSIONS
CATALOG.fdb.

3. The catalog will open and show all files from all disks. To view only the files on your disk, click on Window, then List Galleries,
then on the gallery name that corresponds to your disk name.

4. To view or use the images on your graphics or drawing program, you should be familiar with the graphics or drawing program as
well as the computer's operating environment and the drive letter of the CD-ROM that is being used. See your graphics program
instructions for loading or importing the files. The image files will be located in the appropriate folders on the disks.

5. To view the files on Windows XP version, click on My Computer and locate the folder that has the image files on it on the disk.
Once you are in the folder with the image files on it, click on View, and then click on Thumbnails. The images will appear on the
screen. At this point, they can be double-clicked on to have them automatically loaded onto a picture viewing/editing program
chosen by Windows, or dragged and dropped onto a program already running.

6. If you purchased the general catalog disk, it contains compositional or evaluation sized thumbnails located in the folder named
composition sized images. Within the folder, there are sub-folders with the name of the source disks in which are found the original
photos. The composition-sized images are 256 pixels wide and are intended for evaluation or rough layout-work. If you decide that
you want to use an image for your project, please purchase the appropriate disk that contains the image(s). The images on the
general catalog disk are for evaluation only and are not royalty free.
