What are Rights-Managed Images? |
You need to obtain a Rights-managed image license if: 1. You are selling any product with an image or modified image as part of the product or its packaging. This includes Posters, Stationery, Music CD-s, T-shirts, Mugs, articles with tags, inserts, images on the boxes, etc. 2. You are selling a template of a website, brochure, calendar, etc. with an image on any part of it (i.e. clients would insert their name/logo/product on it). 3. You are creating an ad for a newspaper or magazine or product catalog with an image on any part of it if it is advertising a product for sale. 4. You are creating a billboard ad, poster or display with an image on any part of it if it is advertising a product for sale. 5. You are creating a placemat for sale with an image on any part of it. 6. You are using an image on any part of a tradeshow exhibit. 7. You are using an image on any part of a Book for sale, including the cover, inside pages, or inserts, etc. 8. You are using the image on any part of a magazine article. 9. You are using the image on any part of a greeting card, post card, souvenir, etc. that is for sale. 10. You are using the image on any part of a credit card design, store card design, etc. To use an image as a rights-managed image or if you are unsure whether you are free to use an image that may be viewed by the general public, contact us. Rights-managed pricing guide: Prices on rights-managed images include sending the user the full resolution image and rights to use the image for a full year on their product. Unlimited use is also available for some products. Depending on the use, the company, and the quantity, prices may be negotiable. For instance, if a non-profit organization wants to use an image as part of a charity drive, permission may be used for a limited time for a small fee to pay for shipping, handling, and transferring the image to a CD. Rights-Managed Images are images that are licensed for use on products for sale. Basically, if an image is used on any part of a product that is for sale or being promoted, the Royalty-free images on the Image CDs on this website cannot be used unless a Rights-managed image license fee is purchased.
